Dr. Kristen E. Wilson, a licensed psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist, earned her Ph.D. from North Carolina State University in 2005 with a major in School Psychology and a minor in Special Education. She completed her predoctoral internship in the Coppell Independent School District (ISD) and completed her postdoctoral fellowship under the supervision of Dr. Skye Moffitt, a Clinical Psychologist in Dallas, Texas.

Prior to coming to work with the Lakewood Group, Dr. Wilson worked for a combined 16 years in Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD, Frisco ISD, and the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, conducting comprehensive evaluations on children and adolescents with medical and developmental diagnoses, as well as special education eligibilities. She has also provided cognitive-behavioral based and crisis counseling in the public school setting for the past six years. Dr. Wilson has co-authored manuscripts in multiple journals and she has presented at national and international conferences. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, as well as the National Association of School Psychology.

Dr. Wilson specializes in conducting assessments for learning disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), behavioral problems, and emotional difficulties. In addition to assessment, Dr. Wilson provides counseling services to children and adolescents. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and behavioral problems. Dr. Wilson is skilled in the use of cognitive-behavioral therapy.
