Dr. Caldwell received her Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Dallas in 1988, and since that time has engaged in a variety of clinical and academic work related to the discipline of psychology. She developed and taught an extensive curriculum of graduate and undergraduate courses in psychology, and was appointed Chair of the Psychology Department at Union College in Kentucky. In 2010, Dr. Caldwell participated in a clinical degree re-specialization program through Spalding University, and was licensed as a clinical psychologist in Kentucky in 2015.

Dr. Caldwell has had a wide range of experience in a variety of clinical settings, including private practice, group treatment facilities, substance abuse programs, and community mental health centers. She specializes in the assessment and treatment of adults, including trauma and stress disorders, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, career and emerging adulthood issues, victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, phase of life concerns, aging and geriatric issues.  Dr. Caldwell is fluent in Spanish, and has worked with individuals within the Latino/Latina population.
