Starting her post-licensure career at River Crest Hospital as a supervisee of Dr. Berkshire, Licensed Psychologist, Addie Marquez gained the expertise and passion to aid others in overcoming substance abuse and treating a wide variety of mood disorders in both inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient settings. There, Addie Marquez provided therapeutic care for civilians of all ages between senior and child, active-duty personnel, and veterans. Addie Marquez also previously worked as a mental health clinician with Texas Tech University’s Psychiatry Department via the Texas Child Healthcare Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT Program) to further help children and their families throughout the area of West Texas. She also created an outpatient private practice in San Angelo to further amplify and utilize treatment opportunities prior to mental health concerns becoming a life-threatening struggle.
Her practice utilizes empirically supported therapeutic methods, and takes your personal expertise and experience into account, to deliver an overall tailored approach that makes science consistently work for you. Addie Marquez has specific certification utilizing Triple P Parenting for Children and Teens, Unified Protocol, and Trauma and Grief Component Therapy for Adolescents. Addie Marquez is happy to work with all ages for individual therapy, and couples. Addie’s approach in working with children is that while kids may not want their parents to know everything, parents must be actively involved to ensure both their child’s safety and to give further opportunities for stability and supportive care at home.
